“I wanted a bespoke table and stool, I had the design in mind and wanted it made to a high standard using prime oak and metal. After a few email exchanges I had a conference call with Rose and Matt to clarify we were on the same page. We were and the process began. Rose sent pics along the way which was great. The lead time was unreal. Rose's email response times were quick. I have a stunning table and bench. I would highly recommend these guys and would invest in them again.”

The Vandersteen Bureau, Instow North Devon
A modern take on a traditional bureau, Made from Devon Ash, Devon burr oak and Laburnum. This commission was a special birthday present for a client from Devon. All of the wood was locally sourced.
“Working with Matt and Rose was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. I have never had a bespoke piece of furniture made and this process was great fun. Their brief was to make a modern-day bureau to fit a small space in my house. They took my love of Art Deco styling and the need for a very usable desk and together they created a unique piece of furniture which I adore. Their craftsmanship and skill is clear to see and their use of British sustainable wood varieties was very important to both them and myself. They gave us three detailed designs and a large variety of wood types to choose from. They kept me up to date throughout, asking me for my preferences at key stages. They also gave me extensive after-care advice. I use the bureau every day and am very happy and proud to be part of the story of this gorgeous work of art. Thanks Matt and Rose. “
